Over the past few years our team has been hard at work on multiple strategic fronts, focused on becoming a trusted partner in the modern era of IT. Our role as unbiased, vendor-agnostic IT strategists enables and equips organizations to do more with less, and remains vital to sustained IT success.
I’ve heard it said often that if a Mount Rushmore of telecom existed, Corky Webb’s face would be chiseled into it. Corky launched SinglePoint Solutions, Inc., in 1999, at a time when complex IT solutions simply did not exist. Fast forward to 2022, as the IT landscape has drastically evolved into an intricate and decentralized environment. IT leaders have their hands full as they are tasked with keeping data secure in highly complex, regulated ecosystems. Additionally, the vendor landscape is rapidly evolving, with new entrants daily. IT security vendor/solution segments have boomed over the past 3 years with over 3,500 security vendors in the United States alone.
In speaking with business leaders, complexity and chaos are a challenge, but the competition of IT resources is by far the biggest obstacle to overcome. Most IT organizations (if being completely honest), are short staffed and under resourced, which makes the role of the unbiased IT strategist hyper valuable today. As the IT landscape continues to shift, it remains crucial that SinglePoint invests in building a team of experienced stakeholders, empowering organizations to stay ahead of the pace of change.
2021 was a big year for SinglePoint as we acquired two leading IT consultancies in North America. We first acquired EngagedPro in February 2021, headquartered in Louisville, KY. EngagedPro brought deep IT specialization capabilities in the Healthcare market and had a great track record of delivering value and driving cost savings to enterprise customers in retail and logistics segments. Later that year, in November 2021, we completed our acquisition of Sky Technology Partners (Sky) headquartered in Wayne, NJ. Sky brought decades of quality service, IT solution innovation and an established framework for supporting customers with global operations across Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Sky also brought proven expertise in building and executing high value Cloud, DRaaS and Data Center solutions across the Banking & Finance, Healthcare and Professional Services segments.
